Rock Band 2

I got Rock Band 2. It only cost $110 because of a horrible mistake Toys 'R' Us made when placing an ad. (The deal should have been for Rock Band 1.) I already got on the Rolling Stone Rock Immortals list, so now I just have to do the Endless Setlist 2 (It's 84 songs long). If you have a PS3, my PSN username is the_nacho if you want to add me as a friend.

Little Big Planet

I got Little Big Planet last week, and I completed the main campaign over the weekend. It was really short, but the user-made levels keep it fun. You should get it. I actually published a level that I made; my username on PSN is the_nacho if you want to look me up.

PS3 Broken

My PS3 is broken. It can't read CD's anymore. It's still under warranty (barely), so I sent it back to Sony and they'll fix it. I should get it back by Thanksgiving.

Fallout 3

I got Fallout 3 last week. I beat it once without doing any of the side-quests, so now I'm going through it again and doing all the side-quests. I highly recommend buying it; the PC version is the best.

PS3 and Rock Band

I got a PS3 and Rock Band.

PS3:
Awesome graphics. I'm filling up the hard drive downloading demos, (it's the 40 GB one) but I'm gonna put in a bigger hard drive soon. I checked out the hardware specs, and it has 7 operating SPEs (Synergistic Processing Units, they're the Cell Processor's equivalents of CPU cores) with a combined processing power of 2 teraFLOPS. (2 trillion FLoating point Operations Per Second) Compare that to the Xbox 360's measly 115.2 gigaFLOPS. (5.7% of the PS3's processing power) Since I don't own an Xbox 360 and I haven't played around with one, I can't really compare the PS3 to it, but I like the feature (on the PS3) where you can see who you've met in-game and message them and send friend requests to them and stuff. Home looks like it will be good. I hope it will be good.

Rock Band:
An amazing game. I wish the instruments used Bluetooth though. (The drums and mic are wired, and the guitar uses a seperate wireless receiver that you have to plug in to the PS3. You have to get a USB hub to connect all the instruments if you have a 40 GB PS3 like me.) I can play drums and guitar on expert, although, compared to Guitar Hero, the guitar parts in Rock Band are all really easy. But I can play expert on Guitar Hero and Guitar Hero 2, too. (I don't have Guitar Hero 3.) I think vocals are the least popular, but I guess it's fun to do vocals if you can't play drums or guitar. I like the online quick play. You just press search, and it finds people, and you play songs together online. It has no lag, because it offsets the song at the beginning to give the network enough time to receive the other players' data. It was fun for a while, but then the guitar controller broke and I had to send in for a new one. The strum bar wouldn't recognize down strums anymore. Apparently it's a common problem. But I got a new one and it works fine now.

P.S. If you have a PS3, comment with your user name and I'll add you as a friend.

Orange Box

So I got the Orange Box about a week ago. Here's an overview:

  • Portal: Amazing. It was short, but still really good. And it was funny. I think the funniest part was...I don't want to give away anything, so I'll put it like this: at the end when the thing fell off of the thing. That was pretty funny. I think the end kind of set it up for a sequel. I don't know. Maybe not. Who knows. I hope they make another one, though. It was fun.
  • Team Fortress 2: Great. Really fun to play. I like it's cartoony style. I don't think I would have liked the graphics as much if they hadn't been cartoony like they are. I also like the sounds people make when they're on fire, especially the soldier's.
  • Half-Life 2: Still one of the best games ever made.
  • HL Episode 1: Really good. Short, but that's to be expected, it's part of a 3-episode series. I probably don't seem to like it as much because I'm comparing it to Episode 2, but it's good, and I loved it at the end when (higlight to see spoiler) you're on the train and the citadel explodes.
  • HL Episode 2: Awesome. Definitely better than Episode 1. It seemed longer, too. The graphics were way better than Ep. 1. I loved it near the end when a strider would blow up a building, and boards and stuff would fly everywhere. Also, the Aperture Science place (from Portal) is mentioned near the end. I'm glad I beat Portal before I beat Ep. 2, because I looked at the video of the Borealis and thought, "Hey, I know that company!" Maybe the Portal gun will be in Episode 3. That would be awesome. Then Ep. 3 could be kind of like a sequel to Portal. Anyway, I just beat Ep. 2 about five minutes ago and now I'm sad. If you've beaten it, you'll know what I'm talking about. If you haven't, then go get it and beat it and be sad with me. Maybe he isn't really dead or something. I hope he isn't really dead. I guess I'll just have to wait until Episode 3 comes out.

Oh, and here's my SteamID page. (Zomg my Steam Rating is 10!)

Wii!

Hee hee ho ho, I got a Wii! It's really great. You should get one.

City of Heroes

City of Heroes has been gotted...by me! It's awesome. I got it last Thursday. I didn't post about it earlier because I couldn't tear myself away from it and still be on the computer long enough to post. I'm already level 10. Yeah.
